WHO WE ARE

Town & Country is a church in Topeka, Kansas that exists to make disciples who love God, love others, and serve like Jesus. In all of the things we do, from our worship gatherings on Sunday mornings, our groups that meet throughout the week, our service to our local community and around the world--we are a community of people who want to follow Jesus and help others follow him too.

Our Mission

To make disciples who love God, love others, and serve like Jesus.

Jesus calls us to "make disciples" (Matthew 28:19). What is a disciple? A disciple is a follower. This is why the church exists: To follow Jesus, and to help other people follow him as well. Everything we do as a church is centered on this mission!

But what does a disciple do? When Jesus was asked what the most important of all God's commands is, he answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:37). This is the most important task of a disciple: To love God with everything we've got!

Jesus followed up that command with a second one: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). Jesus loves us more than we can imagine, so following him means loving one another in the same way.

Finally a disciple serves like Jesus. Jesus himself said that he "did not come to be served, but to serve" (Mark 10:45). As his disciples, we follow his example of humble service to our church, our community, and the world.
